Your Closest Ghost is an independent art and literary journal that aims to publish the flash fiction, poetry, artworks, and photography of lesser known creatives. With an affinity for artists who dwell in what lingers, we’re looking for pieces that sink us deep into haunting memories, loves lost, and places abandoned. We don’t shy away from the erotic or mildly offensive. Have a piece you feel meets the nostalgic mood we seek? Please fill out this form for the first annual publication planned for release in mid-October.

We believe that underserved populations, such as folks in nursing homes or incarcerated folks, have as much right as any to contribute to the arts. If you know someone who would like to submit work but can't access the Google form, please have them include the following information in an envelope to the address below: preferred name/pen name, title of the work if applicable, a printed copy (for writers) or high quality photo (for artists and photographers)

Note: Artists are asked to also include a list of the mediums they used in their artworks to help give readers an idea of what they can't see in 2D. AI submissions will not be accepted.
